This tutorial will show you how to update Adaware.

Adaware works by scanning for and removing traces of Spyware.  You should update this program and scan your PC once every one or two weeks.

Open Adaware.  If your definitions are out of date you will see this dialog box.  If this appears click OK and you will be taken to the third screenshot shown below.

If you do not see the dialog box above you will see the screen below.  Click Check for updates now.

Click Connect.

If any updates are available a dialog box similar to the one below will appear.  Click OK.

The updates will be downloaded and the progress will be shown in the progress bar.

When the update is complete click Finish.

Click Start to begin scanning for Spyware.

Ensure that Perform full system scan is selected then click Next.

Adaware will now scan for any Spyware on your computer.

When the scan is complete (this may take 15 - 45 mins) click Next.

The following screen appears.

Click on the Scan Summary tab.

Right click on any list...

and choose Select All Objects.

Note that each list will have a tick beside it.

Click Next.

The following dialog box will appear.  Click OK.

All Spyware detected will be removed...

and you will be returned to the start screen.
